I made 2 more quilt blocks today for my heather bailey quilt. The blocks take soo long to make compared to the other quilts i usually do, but they look so awesome!

Here's my progress so far!

the bottom 2 blocks are not sewn to the top 2 because i dont want the pinks on the left touching, i'm very picky about that which is part of the reason the blocks take so long to make, i'm having to make sure that nothing is in the same position as the last block so i achieve "random" even though i'm planning it.

well i kept on working on my quilt and i now have the first row sewn together! Now only 7 more rows to go....

the finished quilt top with blocks only will be 72 x 96 inches. I think i'm going to add a small border around the edges though, mostly for width, i want this to work nicely on a guest room bed.

Both quilts look great. Is it hard to get pictures onto fabric? It's a brilliant idea!

Metal, supposedly so I don't cut chunks out of the plastic. I'll buy a proper quilters one tomorrow. The fabric keeps moving is the main problem. I think I just need to get used to it!  Smiley

when you get a quilter's ruler, try sticking a few squares of fine sandpaper on the back, it's meant to stop the fabric slipping under the ruler, i haven't tried it myself

I could only get one in inches, and didn't fancy changing all my measurements, so went with out.

I have finished cutting, tacking, putting together and pinning the front, ready for applique tomorrow!
