It's April, it's Easter, but it's cold. I'm in denial and still bring out the pinks and purples and wear my flip-flops in 35˚ weather.

I've been thinking all week of what to make to wear on Easter for brunch, and I finally (re)found Rickrackruby's Striped Skirt Tutorial, and I finally had something to use my old jersey knit sheets for. Lately I've been wearing a lot of my skirts as tops, because I love the way they drape and hide my overindulged tummy (damn overabundance of candy) so well. My dad rolled his eyes as I layed out the sheet on the living room floor and began to measure and cut at midnight. 2 hours later, and I had this top!

This is some of my favorite material in my stash, and it's been begging to be used for something soft and flowy.

Pumpkin of course had to be in the pictures, because of all his help. He has to lie on the fabric while I'm trying to measure and cut.

Now that I look at it, the print really is most unusual. Butterflies and bubbles? I haven't used these as sheets for 5 years, and not just because they're twin-sized.

I used bra straps on it and just realized that I should probably take that pin out before wearing it in the morning.  Undecided

Anyway, thanks for looking, and Happy Easter!

That's quite cute.  If it was me, though, I would have made the bodice a bit bigger, and probably run a ribbon along the seam.  Still, adorable.
