Hello everyone-

My family and I are trying an alternative to the regular dip-and-dye easter eggs this year. We bought beeswax, kishkas, and a how-to guide, and today's the day we will attempt to make some beautiful Ukrainian Eggs! The most difficult (and disgusting) part so far was blowing out the eggs with a small pump and drill. One exploded all over me! Tongue Anyway, I'll be sure to keep everyone posted and show my fellow craftsters the finished results tonight!

Happy Easter,
Tabby

Your eggs look great! My family also dyed eggs today. We have done the traditional designs before but today we did silk-tye-died eggs and also did a few Ukrainian eggs. here are some of my family's. The one I did is the blue egg that has a dove on it.

Excellent eggs!  (Are you hooked now?)  I love the egg drying rack you made.  Our family makes do with an old piece of cardboard with thumbtacks pushed in from the bottom that always slip out.  I'm inspired to make a sturdier one like yours, with nails.

That's beautiful. It sounds very complex, but they turned out great.
