I want to make a scarf similar to this but with all different types of flowers:

does that seem doable?
anyone care to share their favorite flower motif/pattern?
If it works out I might organize a crochet flower swap to make other projects!! (or more scarves)

I have some free flower patterns you can find here.  Just click on the flowers label and you can see them all.

I made a flower scarf recently. I recommend you join as you go that's how I made this one here.  I made this one up as I went but the flowers are similar to one of the patterns I did write up.

I like the one you shared with the fun circle motifs.

I made crocheted flower scarves for the ladies in my family for Christmas, and my fav. patterns have to be the flowers at Crochetme.com. There is also a flowers page at crochet pattern central here: http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/flowers.php

I found that once I started making tons of flowers, I could change each pattern a little bit to create a different looking flower.

Good luck with your scarf! I think you'll find it to be addicting and a great way to use up your scraps.
