That is so awesome!  I can't believe I just threw away an old keyboard... this would have been perfect for a friend of mine.

I work at a school, and there has been a box heaped with old keyboards just sitting in the media center. Yesterday, I asked what was going to happen to them, and explained my interest. I was told that I could take "as many as I wanted...please!"

Guess what all of my geeky guy friends are getting for Christmas this year?

Whoo-hoo! My trunk is currently full of keyboards. At least 20, I'd say. And, as soon as my attic floor is finished and I can clear out the space in the house, I'm hauling them in and spending a happy afternoon dismantling them!

i had some of my dad's old keyboards so i took them apart, used the keys as earrings (which my friends adore, i have lot's more to make too hehe) and so i made one of those wallets tonight. not as good as i hoped, but i'll try again with the other piece that was in my keyboard!

That is the coolest and most creative thing i've ever seen anyone do with a keyboard (or part of one).
