I made this for myself.  I needed it to be big enough for all my crap, but also loose and manageable.  I made the strap a little wider than I usually do, and that has made it surprisingly comfortable to wear.  Anyway, I'm pretty happy with it.  I added a piece of green upholstery fabric to the flap, and the inside is ticking with a pocket and pen slots.

That's fabulous! I've  been wanting to make something from leather but have been too chicken.  Great job!

Nice bag! I really like your closure hardware. Was that hard to install?

Thanks everyone!

The hardware is really easy to install.  It's similar to a magnetic clasp, you just push the prongs through and squish them down.

Beautiful bag!  Love the soft leather and the pretty green upholstery.  Fabulous closure...very vintage looking (somehow reminds me of my Nanny! Smiley)  Lovely storage/pockets, too.  Great work!!  Cheesy

Wow!  what a lovely bag!  Did you use a home sewing machine or an industrial machine to make the bag?
