hi-
i want to show off a thing or two i just completed........i just finished refinishing some very boring living room furniture.  i had one hell of time coming up with an idea for it, let me tell you!  i'll show before and after shots (I may still change the handles).

btw, i followed what seems to be a new trend these days in interior design......matching furniture color to the color of the walls.  personally i love this.  and i think it really works with the other pieces in the room...... a hope chest stained a natural walnut (which serves as a table), and a striped couch.

PS it seems i'm not allowed to post pics yet in posts, so i'm just posting links to the pics......sorry.

What a wonderful transformation!
I love both looks but the white definately makes your room seem a lot brighter (from what i can see in the pictures)

I like the handles that are on now as they really stand out against the white.
But if you were to change them, maybe you could just spray them a silver to match the lamp.
(I think the lamp gbase is silver right?! Huh)

hi there-
thanks so much for the feedback!  the lamp base is actually (let me check Smiley ).........bronze.  ya, i'm not sure yet if i'll change the handles or not.  i'm just not a fan of that style.  i was looking into something more funky, with a nature theme.

The white looks really good!  Nice job.  I always change the hardware when I refinish.  I just love searching for the right knobs or whatever!
