Thanks, everyone! I knew people on Craftster would be able to help me out. I can't believe I didn't think to look at thrift stores. Now I have yet another thing to hunt for, which is always fun. Also, I have a feeling that if I post a want ad for baby food jars on Craigslist, I'll get plenty of responses.

Bubilina: I created the pattern myself. It's just crocheted in the round, beginning with three stitches at the top, increasing to the desired size, then decreasing back down to about three. The mouth is embroidered and the eyes are from Hobby Lobby. I have been playing around with other drugs. (That doesn't sound so good...) The other pharmacy tech and I spent a while looking at all the capsules together, and we found some very cute ones. So far, I've also made Cymbalta and Ursodiol. Of course, these are just based on the brands we carry at the pharmacy, but it's fun trying to make things like "helps reduce cholesterol in the liver" sound cute.

Omg, that's adorable! I want one XD And you could try using one of those huge oval-ish pretzel boxes? They're large enough to put these in just like real pills, and they're clear and shaped like I'd imagine a pill box might be! xD

If your project has any of these, don't be surprised to see me post in it! Cheesy

I hadn't thought of using a big jar to put a bunch of them in. That would be very cute! I know that I've had that Knott's jelly, but I don't remember the jar. I just remember the jelly being good. I think that's a pretty good excuse to buy myself a yummy treat, though.

Junquette: I can definitely empathise with your husband. We have so many people that come to the pharmacy with life-long diseases who have to take sooo many pills. My coworker wants to sell these at the pharmacy as a "brighten your day" kind of pill for that exact reason.

Well, you can take a few jars of the stage 1-2 veggies and add them to casseroles and the like. The nature of the baby food won't matter so much and you can sneak in a bit more veggie (this is how I fool myself!)

Ha! I think I need to try this...I just don't eat enough veggies...and then I'll have a bunch of baby food jars, since my friends are all pretty much past the baby stage...

It would be cute to make some of these up and donate them to a nursing home, too!

I just love this. I am one of those people that has to take so many medications that it is rediculous! I would love to be able to snuggle my tummy pills instead, they are bright blue!

We do work for a lot of nursing homes. I bet they would think these little guys are cute. I should make a personalized one for each of our customers.

I don't have to take too many medications, luckily, but if I forget my tummy medication, I'm in trouble. I need to get some yarn for that one. It's two shades of pink, like the Cheshire Cat, and it's my favorite prescription to fill.

It's good to know I'm not the only one on earth who finds medicine capsules adorable.
