WoooHoooo!  I finally finished the nursery!  The room was empty and beige before I started.  We painted the walls a lovely aqua blue.  I wish I could say I made the crib bedding and window treatments, but I actually had those made for my first baby because I was too much of an emotional basket case during my first pregnancy to sew anything of consequence.  I designed them, and had someone else do the making...

I'm proud to say that I DID refinish the dresser.  It was an old piece that I had since college.  I painted it a bright aqua and put new hardware on it.  And, I refurbished old picture frames to match- and filled them with pages from a Dr. Seuss book.

The cross stitch above the couch was made by my husband's mother when she was pregnant with him.  The collage above the crib was made by me...

Thanks for looking!

Wow!  This looks straight out of the pages of a magazine.  I am very impressed.  My co-worker is pregnant so I had to forward her this thread.  You did a fabulous job!

That blue is gorgeous!
I have to agree with *PinkMafia*...it is very modern and not like the traditional nurseries with bunnies/teddies etc and pale walls.
(Not that there is anything wrong with that of course  Grin)

Thanks!!! I really like a more modern look - kid friendly, but not too babyish.  They grow out of baby so fast anyhow.  So that is what I was going for.  I also love lots of color (as evidenced by my other room redos)  Grin.

Looks great!  Zebra stripes are a great idea.  I remember when my nephew was little (like, <3 mos) he'd really focus on the black and white bathroom tiles - they fascinated him.  Love the collage, and the Dr. Seuss idea!
