These aren't anything super special, but I love them. All I did was take a part an old pair of Soffes (sp?) and use that as my pattern. I brought these to church to have one of the middle school girls from my small group at church try them on (because I made them way small on purpose) and they were all freaking out about them (they defeinitely haven't seen the stuff everyone on this board makes). Anyways, here they are...

Those are really really cute! How long did it take you to make them? Is there any chance that you would want to post the pattern for the shorts? Happy spring break Smiley

Thanks everyone!

Radioactivepenguin (nice name by the way...) I got the material at Joanne Fabrics  couple years ago. I don't know if they still have any.

live4today_die4tomorrow, This is the basic pattern:

This is without seam allowance (but I never added seam allowance, because I wanted to make them small in purpose).

You need 4 of these pieces. Sew two of the pieces down the long 12 inch side right sides together. Do the same to the other two pieces.

You have two pieces now. Right sides together, sew them together on the curved sides.

Right sides together, sew the little 2.5 inch (now 4 inch) parts together.

All you have to do now, is hem the legs and make a tube for the elastic at the top (and add two little buttons to the front for kicks).

The shorts I made came out to fit a size 0. It took me MAYBE an hour. Probably less than that.

I hope that was understandable.

The brown pair are skin tight every where but the waist. I did 10" for the waist,12" the the body/leg, 3" inseam, 12" for the sides. I have a 33" lower waist/upper hip bone, 22" thighs . so these numbers seemed ok to me at the time. not so much. they fit like boy shorts and its hard to get up so i dont know if adding elastic to the waist is even worth it.

white pair fit great.  I did 11" for the waist,14" the the body/leg, 3" inseam, 12" for the sides, made the elastic 30" so it doesn't cut into me.
