I decided to not do the lining right now (seeing that I JUST finished) and it's pretty sturdy as it is.  I've never hand-sewn something so large, that's actually going to be functional--and I really like it!  So...onward ho.

I made the SNB tote, BTW.  And ignore the Christmas tree.

Just finished sewing the handle on my purse type thing.  I abandoned the messenger bag idea when I found a piece of red lace, and some blue cloth, and thought it would make a neat tote or something of the kind.  Its a practice run on lining for when I really do make my messenger bag.  Not the greatest thing in the world, but I likes it.  Will post a picture tomarrow when there's light to see something.

Bah, I suck. Purse is nowhere near done. Too much distracting crap in my life (nothing bad, just taking my precious crafting time away!). I'll try to keep hacking away at it though, because I want to see how it will turn out!

I really love that zebra purse, and the next one down with the lovely bright lining and the zipper pocket is excellent, too. In fact, it is amazing that there is so much talent cooped up in this one swap! (or un-swap Wink I have to agree with Quarkiegirl, This purse isn't gonna happen, mostly because My sewing machine is about 2000 miles away, but It will get here in 3 weeks! Then I'll have to post a late project (it still counts as long as we get it done with in this three month period, right? ;p)

It is a great fabric to work with b/c there is very little fraying.  Plus, I used trigger poplin for the lining to give it some body.

Thanks Lostcove
