I have a pattern for a cardi that calls for kidsilk haze double stranded.  While I would LOVE that, I'm trying to find a similar yet less expensive alternative.  I know, I know, I'll have to check gauge, but can anyone give me an idea of what weight I should look for that would be like 2 strands of fingering?  Thanks!

2 strands of fingering is a DK.  However, kidsilk haze is a lofty mohair blend.  I'd look at something like SRK Ovation, which is a DK and otherwise similar in loft, etc.   It won't look the same, though.  2 strands of a lofty mohair has better coverage/more visual density than a single heavier strand.

Hmmm...  I love the kidsilk so much that I might have to just suck it up and use it.  Thank you for such a quick reply!
