My Gender challenged sister only has so many mens t-shirts she is willing to let me have.
I dont even have money for Goodwill shirts <.< that is a sad day, im going out of my mind with my limited craft supply right now.

Thanks for the tutorial! Here is my version - it took a couple weeks, but it was totally worth it! I get so many compliments when I wear it!

I took some extra time to angle the green striped shirt pieces, in an attempt to make it more slimming, and not quite so horizontal-stripey. I had to add straps, since during my test wearing, the whole thing ended up around my waist without me noticing (luckily, I was still inside my apartment...) I widened the second stripe in the front to accommodate my busty bust - I think I won't make it quite so wide next time, and I might try a slightly different strap, but overall, I'm so happy!

I used shirts that seemed pretty big, but I was still scrambling for fabric at the end - the shirts I have stacked up for the next two are absolutely the hugest I could find at Saver's - now I just have to find the time to put them together! I don't really want to wear anything else all summer (except maybe to work, and I think with some leggings and a shrug, I might even be able to pull that off!).

I made one!!! 



The top row, I made 5", and folded it in half before sewing onto the next row, that way I didnt have to finish the top.   I also added straps (just tubes sewn together, the seam is in the middle of the underneith part), they are stiched on matching the lines of stiching on the top.   I also topstiched with a longer (3.5) stright stich so the seams wouldnt itch me. 

I used actual fabric, not t-shirts b/c for rsome reason I have a ton of differnt pink knits that Ive been trying to use.

So I'm like 3 years late but I found this in the tut section because I needed to make some casual dresses and ran across this. I'm absolutely in love with it! Wonderful job and tut and I can't wait to make it this weekend
