Whoa!  That looks like it was so so so much work.. but it's so worth it.  It's really stunning.  No muggle will believe that you made it yourself.

Again: AMAZING.

I tried looking at the Vogue Knitting website and didn't see how to order old magazines. Where and HOW would I be able to get my hands on this?

Also: could you post your pattern notes? I'd really love to know what modifications you made!

Thank you for the motivation XD

Check out the bottom of the page; you'll find the address to request back issues. I called and confirmed that the 2006 Holiday issue is still available, and then I sent my request immediately!

Finished measurement seem a little big to me.  I have 30" bust(i know, it's sad) and wonder this coat would look huge on me.  Any suggestions on sizing??

You could always go down a needle size and you could always shrink the cables up a bit to adjust your length and width. The length of the cables is 20+ rows and the width is 24 sts.

I actually ended up making this using 6.5mm needles a per my swatch.  The armholes are 8" and I prefer something a little more roomy and so did some extra rows to adjust for my lengthy body. I am 5'8" tall. [btw, my husband did take a picture of me wearing it, and it is hilarious because the angle make me look like a freakin GIANT]

The worst part is always seaming. I spent an afternoon just doing that part!!

And if you have a specific pattern question, you should pm me.

No, I was merely reading the Muggle magazines. I do love knitting patterns.

That is so cool!. I don't hardly ever comment on people's projects. but I knew I needed to stop and tell you what an awsome job you did.

You're my hero  Shocked

Mr. McQueen has got nothing on you--your coat is awesome and looks almost identical!  I searched around trying to find the price of the original but couldn't find it; however, I bet that it was many times more than what you paid for a few balls of Red Heart yarn.

Wow!  I was going to see if I could figure out how to make this as one of my upcoming projects, but you already did it!  You did brilliantly - that's gorgeous!
