Hi! I've never knitted so plase use little words & go slow ....  LOL
A freind of mine bougth me the Klutz Knitting kit, I think I've got it figured out, but when I cast on what do I do with the tail?  I tried watching the videos on stich guide, but you can;t really see what is being done with the tail.  I'm sure I'll have more questions soon.

You just leave the tail. And when you're done your project you weave it in using a yarn/tapestry needle (a needle with an eye big enough to fit the yarn through) for an inch or so and then you snip off the rest close to the knitting and it'll disappear into the fabric.
