my most painless and well behaved project so far is finally finished! I am so pleased. I was thinking of selling it, but it's a bit hazardous (with candles and fabric and straw so close together) and I don't want to cause a fire in someone elses home, so I think I'll just keep it and have some water at hand.

here's the sketch I made before starting...

and here's the real thing:

one with the lights on:

and a closeup.

That is beautiful.  And a great recycling project to boot.  I'm trying to figure out what the fabric is skewered onto....maybe skewers?  I'm hitting this rocks by the way.

Wow! This DEFINITELY rocks!!! Shocked

I would also definitely buy this (and not sue if I accidentally burned down my house.) Although the lights do look far enough away from the fabric/straw/whathaveyou in the middle.

Amazing amazing job!!!!

Good grief that is so cool.  I'm currently exhibiting some work in a 'reduce, reuse, recycle' art show and this would fit in marvelously!  Cool beans.

I read your manifestos and strange religious tracts.  You took me to your library and kissed me in the stacks.

Wow!!! That is so cool. I'm wondering if my kids would notice if they were missing a tire or two... or if anyone would mind just using forks from now on.
