I found myself! ...Now where'd I put the scissors?

I'm a curvy gal. About 40-37-42 and I need to find a dress for an April wedding. ::groan::
My breasts are my favorite part about my body, I've got tummy flab and my legs are- well we'll say "thunder thighs" comes to mind.

I keep looking for dresses (mainly because I'm not sure I'll have time to make my own, and I want to support small businesses) but I don't know what to look for!  Shocked

Any suggestions?

My suggestion would be for a wrap dress. I'm pretty curvy myself and short, too. I find that wrap dresses accentuate curves without having to be skintight. Also, great for the cleavage. Wink

if you have a bit of a tummy go for a dress with a high waist, they never steer me wrong.  Smiley

I'll definitely look into wrap dresses. Thank you all for suggestions! I'm such a tomboy that I often get lost in the world of dresses Smiley

Why am I sticky & naked? Did I miss something fun?

I got an amazing purple faux wrap ruched jersey dress from the gap outlet (Where they have up to size 18-20). It was last september, so they probably won't have it, but It's something to think about. It was extremely comfortable and looked amazing.

Living dangerously.
