I just got a huge box from supermedic today!
I'll try to post all about it once I get home from work and can take a look at everything. I've only been able to peek so far - 5pm can't come soon enough.
Ok, so I was driving my boss nuts and she made me take a break so I could dive into the box. I got seriously spoiled!
She made - a hanging garden tool caddy - perfect for "my side" of the garage, a really well done garden apron and a hat! They all totally rock! All in matching really adorable fabric. I'm going to be the most stylin' gardener on the block.
Oh there is much more:
2 great suncatcher - thick wire with pretty marbles
2 sun shaped suncatcher with orange beads (my fave color) - around here in the Pacific NW we need all the suncatchers we can get Smiley - I already know where they are going to be hung.
2 tin pots - one painted with sunflowers and one with a dragonfly (I love dragonflies). I already know what I'm going to plant in those too Smiley and where I'm going to put them.
Flower seeds - portacula (one of her fave flowers - so I'm going to give them a try) and one for Nigella "hot fudge sunday" - for sure that is getting planted just so I can tell everyone what they are called - I'm kinda garden dorky that way.
Pruning shears - nice small ones - much better for working on my houseplants.
Flower notepad, magnet, address book and journal. She wrote all kind of excellent tips in the journal including care for Rhodys - which I have at my new house and didn't really know how to care for.
A really pretty magnet with a flower garden in a bathtub - which is perfect since I've been teasing my SO that if we don't get the beds built this year - I'm hauling in a bathtub.
"Plant porn" - two books: Container Gardening Throught the Year - lovely photos - high plant porn rating and Landscaping for Dummies - which will come into heavy use this summer.
and bonus - 4 skeins of yummy dreamy Mo' Hair yarn - I'll have to think of something luxurious to knit with it.

I hope I didn't forget anything - hopefully, she can post pix when she gets a chance.
Thank-you supermedic for the great package!
(Mine is just waiting for something to root a little bit more then it can be on the way.)

Don't have anxiety!
We discussed what all we wanted to do craftwise and set a budget for purchases at the garden center (she let me set it kinda high for a swap). I had to have a budget, because I'm like a kid in a candy store at the local nursery. I might as well hand them $20 at the door before I even get my cart.
This swap has made my SO nervous, I brought home *something from the nursery* the other day and he eyed it suspiciously - he won't believe things aren't for the swap until they actually leave the house.
I used to get away with a lot more - now that he can tell the difference between lavender and pepper plant I can't sneak much past him.

Educating the men-folk is dangerous!

He actually read thru the seed catalogs this year and picked like 10 different kinds of peppers - mostly because of the names Smiley
I know he "hides" certain catalogs - High Country Gardens is really dangerous for me.

ok, here are the pics of what auntiem received from me.  i am really glad she likes (esp the plant porn since i wasn't supposed to send her any but i just couldn't help myself since they were just sitting here not getting used and i knew the landscaping book would come in handy with a new yard and she also wanted to container garden (also the pics were soooo pretty))

i also love the fact that she is planting the flower seeds cuz she likes the name and likes to plant flowers just so she can tell people the name since thats exactly why i bought them ( i also got some for myself and have already shown the packet to people for that same reason)
