so glad you like everything.  I have a garden journal that I write in and put photos in.  Its fun to see how your garden changes from year to year!

A seed organizer - brilliant! Love the fabric - where did you find it?

the "fabric" was a table cloth I found at K Mart (now I am giving away my secrets!) and I used polka dotted ribbon to line some of it

WYOKrista - did you make up the pattern for the seed organizer *thinly veiled request for a tute*?

I just realized that I forgot to put this little piece of info in supermedic's package (advice of seed starting):

Here is my very scientific lab like method:
Plant seeds in peat pellets and label carefully. Place plastic dome cover on top. Place on top of fridge. Knock the dome off at least once a night while trying to get into the cupboard for wine and/or catfood. At least once a week manage to also knock the labels off and kick under the fridge.
Once seedlings emerge transfer to peat pots and place in mini shelf top greenhouse. Spend a week hounding SO for the digital camera to take pictures of the seedlings to post so I can figure out what has in fact sprouted. Once only a few pellets are left on top of the fridge forget about them completely until they dry up.
Now laugh maniacly while deciding which seedling gets thinned out.
Plant outside exactly 1 week before a suprise spring frost takes out the weakest seedlings. Water and enjoy for about 2 weeks until I start posting complaints about bugs/racoons/moles/deer eating my bounty.

auntiem, I bought a small plastic file at the store, probably wal-mart, and took off the cover, recovered it and glued it all back together again. I am pretty sure you can find it in office supply sections, I think some people may use the small file for receipts, coupons, etc.  I can find a pic of it someplace if you dont know what I am talking about.  It is really easy to do, now sewing, cut and glue only  Grin  I am glad you liked it so much!

I love those plastic file things - I use them when I travel - never thought to use them to organize my seeds - very clever!

AUNTIEM
I AM SURE I CAN FOLLOW THOSE DIRECTIONS TO A T!!!  GOOD THING I AM NATURALLY KLUTZY AND LIKE TO STICK THINGS IN FRONT OF THINGS I THINK I NEVER USE BUT ACTUALLY DO--IE: THE CUPBOARDS. I AM NOT REALLY SURE IF THIS MEANS YOU STARTED SEEDLING  OR I AM GOING TO BUT IM INTRIGUED.

Everything looks so great so far! I'm so impressed.

I'm sending out my partner's package this weekend. (Don't worry, she knows I was going to be a few days late.)

Keep the pictures coming!

 Grin

can anyone say "spoiled rotten" cuz thats what i am.  i received from auntiem today and i don't even know where to begin to tell you what i got.  right now the pics are uploading so hopefully by the time i am done telling you what i got the pics will be ready to post.

1. garden apron in vintage green flower material (very pretty)
2.  3 knitted bags holding kits  that you will read about below
3.  4 sewn sachets that she says are perfect for putting seedlings in (one of the plants i received came in one--see pic) another one had rose? petals in it for scent.
4. knit washcloth and peppermint foot scrub with directions
5.  many herb recipes
6.  herbal hair rinse recipe
7.  Soil moist (favorite of hers and also mine)
8.  Seeds for herb mix, parsley, thai basil, calendula, sage, coleus, yellow pear tomatoes, and trial size ozmocote plant food.
9. 2 "plant porn" notebooks (one actually says "plant porn" on it and has lines for writing at bottom and blank at top for pics and drawings.  I will definitely use this.
10.  cd's of dining music from Mexico and France with bonus 20 recipes each
11.  cute ribbon with flowers and ladybugs on it
12.  4 books
13.  Yay!!!  A lavender plant which i really didn't expect since she said she wasn't sure how to send.
14.   part of one of her jade plants

Wait Wait thats not all--

15.  a cross stitched garden quote that is just beautiful.
16.  yellow Dahlia bulbs and yellow is my favorite color.

And now for the many pics.  Hope i remembered everything auntiem and thanks again--what a great way to come home from a hard day of nursing---and tomorrow should be the perfect day for planting!!!!

sorry about the poor pic quality on the garden quote but it is covered in glass and its dark out so i need the flash or a light and i couldn't get it to take very well.  it is absolutely gorgeous so i will take another pic during day tomorrow and post.
