Great package! Im still not done with mine.

Supermedic did you paint the tin pots yourself or were they already painted? If you painted them what kind of paint did you use?

No I'm not talented enough to paint--they came that way from the store.  She got the pretty ones--I kept the same for myself except they are not planted.    lol--everything she got i also got.

I also love the fabric and really hope she does--it just looked so much like spring to me.  actually, my mom wanted it soooo bad i had to go back to the store and buy more green material so i could make her one.  actually, i don't even think the hat is wearable since the stabilizer is so thick it makes it uncomfortable--but its pretty and it matches so she got it.

i'm really curious what needs to take root before she mails mine.  i really wanted to send her some live plants but its too cold here for much.  my tulips are just finally starting to perk up from the cold and snow we had last week and the start of this week.  hopefully they will still bloom--they were all set to open when the cold and snow hit us.  my tulips, daffodils and hiacynths all fell over like someone was sleeping on them.  yesterday i noticed when i got home from work that they were all starting to stand back up.  luckily it is supposed to warm up starting today.

good luck and hope everyone likes their swaps!!!

Happy plantings!!!!! Grin Grin Grin

Thank-you for posting the pictures!
Well, something you requested I only know how to layer off to get a new plant - not enough time for that, so I rooted something else instead. Hint - it isn't an outdoor plant.
I discovered that the tin planters are perfect for holding 3 starts while they wait to get planted (kinda a stageing area for impulse buys).
The hat actually fits fine (I have a little head) I might add a little terry cloth band on the inside so I don't wreck it with my sweat. I just noticed last night that the fabric has dragonflies on it too!
The "plant porn" shares a bookcase with home improvement books - so I just may have to get rid of some of those to make room Smiley My SO was looking at that landscaping book. The boy knows the way to my heart. He built beds for me at his house, then small deck beds at our new house with promise for the large garden project this summer.
He does however make sure I am supervised when I go to the Lavender Festival in July. We've been known to take the motorcycle to reduce plant purchases.

yes, i think the terry on the inside is a good idea--will help pad it where the brim and top meet together--i had to make it twice since the first time it called for 2 layers of that thick stabilizer and made it way too pokey on your forehead.  i also made it a little smaller the 2nd time.  the first one seemed so huge even my hubby made a comment (asked if i was making a hat for him since i always tease him about how big his head is, actually, i tell him if he was bald he would look like charlie brown.  lol).

I'm glad you noticed the dragonflies since i did mean to mention that after you said you loved dragonflies--boy do we have alot in common.

My husband would take a motorcycle also when we go to greenhouses if he could, although he is very good about telling me where there are greenhouses all througout the state since he is a paramedic and travels around alot.  He even surprises me every now and then when he knows which plant i am talking about by name.   Roll Eyes  Makes me love him even more.

Well, I received from WYOKrista today.  Everything was nicely wrapped, but I do not have a picture of it as I was at work and was too anxious to see everything to wait until I got home to get a pic.  I was totally spoiled.

Here is the whole package.  **Edit** Pic Heavy (Sorry)

Tool Caddy decoupaged with vintage seed labels, garden soap, flower stamp and citranella candle (which is good for misquitoes in Louisiana):

Garden Tools, Convenient Tool Bag, plant markers and the most clever thing, a seed organizer:

And a journal.  I have never had a journal like this.  It is just beautiful.  I almost do not want to write in it:

And the inside:

Thanks WYOKrista.  I had a lot of fun
