I didn't know it existed until I saw the ad on the menu of a local Chinese restaurant.  But, there's a yarn shop in Leominster,MA that has been there for two years and nobody knows about it.

The woman who runs it runs it out of an addition on her home in a residential neighborhood near the hospital - the tricky part is finding it.  If you bear right onto Washington Street(Google will never tell you this, it took me three tries to find the place) at the intersection near the hospital (assuming you're coming off of rt 2) it will be your very first and very quick left.

She has ALL kinds of needles, including Addi Turbos and a good variety of yarn.

cool! too bad i'm not closer to Leominster!

there's a woman in Niantic, CT (i think that's what someone told me) that spins her own yarn and sells it in her driveway. she gives you a bag and you fill it and she charges a flat rate!

Just found this post -- do you have an address for the store?  My daughter lives in Lancaster so it might be fun to take a little drive when I'm there (always on the lookout for LYSs.  Grin )  I don't know where the hospital is but it shouldn't be too hard to find, no?  In relation to 117?

The address isn't terribly useful, even if you Google it as the web of streets is a little hard to discern.  Just in case, 24 Grove Street, Leominster.

Head up rt 117 and get on rt 190 toward Fitchburg/Leominster.  Follow rt 190 onto rt 2 and get off on exit #31 toward Leominster (the exit under the over pass). You'll turn right at the stop sign and just follow that road (rt12 I believe) to the third traffic light (you'll go past the Long Horn) - the hospital will be on your right and you'll be able to bear right at that traffic light.  Take an immediate left and that is grove street.  Her house/shop is the first on your right.

I should think that there was stuff for crocheters but to be honest I didn't even look (I have two hooks that do everything for me).
