Yeah I was a fan of tassels too - but anyway it looks good! Great job.

I just wanted to say don't you LOVE that Freedom wool??? If you guys can get a hold of it, I highly suggest trying it...Its sooooo soft, and it feels soooo nice to knit with. I used it for one stripe in a hat for my boyfriend, and I see now that (after a few months of him wearing the hat) the freedom wool stripe hasn't "boo-booed" or "fuzzed up" like the other parts of his hat which were knitted with other stuff. Yup, its some good shit.

i'd say weave in the ends and go no tassel.  I think with the lace adding another design element would be too busy.

i also vote no-tassle. to me, a fringe takes the heart pattern over the line from pretty to too-homemade.

I am having a heck of a time locating this pattern on knitty. It's not with the archived patterns. Where can I find it? I really love the way the red one came out and I'm hungry for my own!

It's part of the knitty surprise which is a pdf file with 4 or 5 new patterns in it.

Does anyone know...

If I were to do this pattern with smaller yarn or needles, or with bigger yarn on the same size needles, would it turn out pretty much the same? I'm not sure if lace-yish patterns translate to different types of yarn. I would assume so, but you know what happens when you assume...
