I claim
STEEN
for " a new purse - maybe roughly 8 X 8ish. I like black or any other dark colour (browns, blues or greens). Bright accent colours are welcome to (especially orange). I'd prefer a strap that is more longish then short (I like wearing my purses across my shoulders and sitting on my hip)"
I'm Karan from England and I get 3 wishes:
first claim this time around 0 sent 0 rec’d
My wishlst in no particular order although anything with a * is a big wish
Fibre goodies:
* a scarf along the lines of this one
http://www.fablehandmadegoods.com/Crochetpattern-magnoliascarf.html
Knit/crochet slippers (size UK 7.5 US size 9(?) approx) I'd LOVE these but any others i.e. Mary Janes, will work too, I just want warm toesies
http://sunshineknitdesigns.com/new_page_5.htm
http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter02/PATTfuzzyfeet.html
*Hand spun yarn
Felted beads
*Wool roving (for felted dreads and attempting to spin!)
Knitted lilies!! My all time fave flower, I’d really love some of these:
http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer06/PATTlilies.html
white ones please.
Crochet Daffodils ( with or without pin backs )
http://www.headhuggers.org/patterns/flower06c.htm
A cabled bag approx 8” x 10” with a long strap
http://www.straw.com/cpy/patterns/bags/bag-party-cabled.html
http://deliciousstitches.blogspot.com/2006/07/cabled-hobo-bag-pattern.html
Fabric goodies:
*Wall/pocket organiser to hang by the side of my desk. It would need to be no more than 20 inches wide by 40 inches long to fit the wall space. Pockets big enough to put sewing patterns in and some of my yarn stash. Earth tones would best match the décor.
Fat Quarters in fun prints, these are ideal for making my husband bandana type welding caps for under his head screen and the guys like to outdo each other with funky patterns! I can only find boring prints in the UK
Bloomers (PM for size)
Petticoat (again, PM for size/length)
*Cloth menstrual pads…dark colours/patterns please (I'm dying to try these)
A cat bed
http://www.sewing.org/enthusiast/Fish_tails_cat_bed_Elna.pdf
too much to ask?? A basic one would be appreciated instead but you gotta try
Jewellery
: (no gold toned findings please) Sapphire and Amethyst coloured stones will match well with pieces I already have. Jade and turquoise would be good too Natural stone colours are also good, I'm an Earth sign
funky bracelets or wrist cuffs
Necklaces 20” to 22” - surprise me with the design
Black velvet choker with a centre piece ( like a cameo but not a cameo!)
Jewellery findings i.e. head pins, earring hooks, clasps, brooch backs and random beads
Pendant with my name on, I can never get these commercially because of the unusual spelling. Not plastic beads though….
Paper goodies
Writing paper and matching envelopes
Promised by Samsara-THANK YOU
*Notecards (possibly with a Virgo design or Ouroborus...if you're stuck for ideas)
Handmade paper
*A mixed paper journal
KITS:
*Spindle kit, I'm dying to try spinning
*Learn to crochet kit, just can't seem to get the hang of it and I'll love you forever if you enable me
Papermaking
Koolaid dyeing, we don’t have Kooklaid in the UK and a “dye it yourself” kit would be sooo cool
Miscellaneous
Things inspired by my wists
Labels like this:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=40044.0
with Kookaloo Starr on them
Glass etching paste (even a part used bottle you have lying around; I want to try before I buy!)
Homemade and/or felted soaps (lavender, citrus, mint are all good)
Stencilled or silk screened t-shirt . Mans size “s” 36” chest saying “sarcasm is my most endearing trait”
Homemade knitting needles
Stitch markers (always come in handy)
Promised by Samsara- THANK YOU
STALK ME, surprise me .... I'm sure you'll find something I'd like lol
links added for inspiration
ABOUT ME:
I’m Karan aged 39 from Notts, England. I’m married with 2 teenage sons and a pet cat.
I’m not working at present
my “style” is best described as “rocky/gothy/hippy/punky” LOL if that makes sense to anyone.
My star sign is Virgo
My favourite colour is purple, closely followed by hot pink. I like black and silver and navy and charcoal grey, turquoise too. Earth tones in general are cool (I’m an earth sign) Colours I’m not fond of are pastels, orange, yellow although a bit in with other colours isn’t so bad.
I don’t like geometric designs; I’m more of a soft and flowing, curvy type.
I’m very tactile and like soft and strokeable textures i.e. velvet, cord, suede
Motifs I like are stars (one of my names is Starr)leaves, trees, hearts, Virgo sign, sun, Ouroborus, flowers,” tattoo” type designs, Celtic, knot work
I have to add this bit; I tell all my swappies the same thing: PLEASE don't be disappointed if I don't include extras in your package. I don't work and so have a limited amount of cash for none essentials. I will make your gift to my best ability using quality fabrics and get it out to you ASAP. There is no offence meant if I don't include extra bits and pieces.
My thanks in advance to anyone who chooses to make something for me

This is my second wish this round and I'm in England.
My Wish list
Ethical & Allergies - I’m a vegetarian, so no animal products please (wool's okay, but leather, fur, suede or gelatine aren't!) I’m also allergic to nickel and artificial perfumes.
Jewellery
I would love a LOTR inspired Elven head-dress like the ones Arwen or Galadriel wear! (Okay, I can hope, can’t I?) Or any sort of Elven inspired jewellery?
(I’m allergic to Nickel though!)
I adore this lotus necklace
http://beadwork.about.com/library/weekly/aa090899.htm
Knitted and Crocheted
My babies would love you forever if you made them a kitty pi!
http://theknittinggarden.com/gallery-march/mar-free-3.htm
Arigurumis – I would absolutely LOVE a Captain Jack Arigurumi!!
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=104545.0
*sigh* If I can’t get Johnny Depp into my bed, I’ll make do with Jack Sparrow!!
Or a dragon?
A fiber necklace like the ones from Enchanted earth!
http://www.jade.enthuzed.net/11.htm
I love ‘Truffles’ and ‘Autumn Leaf’, actually, I love ‘em all!!
Sewn
A pair of patchwork cushion cases in purple please.
A kimono hoodie – This one’s pretty cool!
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=138494.new#new
A black wrap dress.
A long hippy skirt!
Some washable cloth pads, with maybe a travel purse with dirty/clean compartments please? (I gave up buying disposable pads and tampons last year and I’ve never looked back. My body feels so much healthier!)
Fabric hair bands – with elastic at the bottom
PJ or yoga pants
A hair towel with maybe an ocean-themed motif on it (I have long hair – halfway down my back!) My bathroom is green
Artwork
I’d love a piece of Celtic artwork in purple for my living room wall. I don’t mind whether it’s a wall hanging or a picture!
A new swap journal – mine is about full!
A CD with vintage images on for crafting
Something for my garden? If it tinkles, twirls or makes a noise, that would be great! I live on top of a hill so there is always a breeze in my garden. It would need to stand up to the English weather though! Or some kind of artwork, or sculpture? I have a sort of enchanted garden theme going on – mushrooms, fairies, wind chimes, wind-dancers and sun catchers – that sort of thing
DIY Kits –
Teach me something new, I love to learn new stuff!
Needle felting…I’ve tried wet felting, but never needle felting! I’d love to have a go!
Thanks Velvet Rose
Resin casting…I’ve never tried it and would love to! I can’t get the stuff round here! I’d love to make some bottle-cap jewellery – thanks to the BF I have lots of bottle-caps!
Lino cutting or a stamp carving kit.
Sock knitting.
A book-binding kit.
Supplies
I’m planning to make a Rapunzel scarf, so any gorgeous scraps of yarn, trimmings, ribbons or anything else I can put in would be appreciated! They must be at least 10 ft long please and preferably purple, pinks, turquoises or emerald tones! Glittery stuff is welcome too
(Thank you Velvet Rose and Gatheredthreads! I'll keep this up though cos I'll need some more
)
Nickel-free or low-nickel coloured wire, preferable gauge 20 or higher (thicker stuff please) I can only get gold or silver-tone wire in my town!
Japanese craft books or magazines.
Something for my belly-dancing – I have a sort of gothic costume that I’m working on at the moment (black and silver) – how about helping me?
Anything from/inspired by my wists
http://www.wists.com/Samsara
About me
I’m a 38, I’m an art and pottery teacher, and I live in the UK with my BF, 3 cats and a german shepherd dog. I’m basically a hippy-gothy chick, my favourite colours are purple, black, turquoise and emerald green, although any strong colours are also cool especially rainbows (I don’t like pastels and I can’t wear yellows, or yellow based browns or oranges as they really don’t suit me!) Also I'm not keen on floral fabrics, unless they're oriental or hippy, or if they’re appliquéd onto something else – I’m really into appliqué at the moment! I love batiks, Indian fabrics and tie dyes. I enjoy yoga, reading and crafting, particularly new crafts! Favourite themes are cats, dragons, peacocks, nature, trees, stars, Ohms, lotus’, tribal style designs, anything Celtic, Art-Nouveau or Zetti, sci-fi and fantasy books and films.
I’ve included my Wists, but don’t feel obliged to produce exact copies, they’re more a general guideline of what I like or would like!
Here’s some extra information about me if you want!
http://samsarasswapinfo.blogspot.com/
Thanks in advance for choosing me!!

http://www.zhippo.com/NateBeaversHOSTED/images/gallery/nate%20beavers-robo%20skull-gallery1.jpg
or anything inspired by the Vintage Fairies at
www.sallyjean.com
I love the creative fairy with the saying "sometimes there was a storm in her brain". I also love the art fairies with the saying "I must make art".
or anything inspired by the Salvador Dali quote in my siggie, or the Van Gogh quote "I am not an adventurer by choice but by fate"
or anything inspired by the animal axolotl
http://www.bogleech.com/pkmn-axolotl.jpg
anything zombie related for my hubby
anything
super mario
(thank you Steen!) or animal crossing related

wet felting kit
messenger bag kit: I have the fabric (dark blue), but I'd love instructions for one with a zip pocket and divider inside, plus any hardware (strap, zip, anything else I might need!)

felting needles
chocolate is always welcome
wool roving
other fibers for spinning (soy, angora, etc)
handspun yarn
recycled sari yarn or any other very unique yarn
a magic yarn ball (I have so much fun with these!)
200g of lace weight yarn in green, blue, or purple

very sheer, see-through fabrics for layering on wallhangings - nets, tulles, scrims, gauzes, etc.
100% cotton fabrics for quilting
back issues of Quilting Arts magazine (I have issues 21 and up)
any quilt magazines you no longer want/need!
About me: I am 35. I have a hubby, 4 year old daughter, dog, cat, lovebird, fish. I work at home as a programmer. The free time I get is mostly spent sewing, creating wallhanging art quilts, and knitting/crocheting. My favourite colours are purple, blue, pink, green, and any variety of earth tones. I love nature and natural designs, retro, modern, etc.

I claim GatheredThreads for 3" crochet squares for a cathedral windows afghan.
This is my first claim this round, I'm in Wisconsin,
and I need to track down my list
.
wish list
!
hand painted yarn - do you love to Kool-Aid dye? i'm in an apartment, and I'm massively afraid to try it here... so if you love to dye the yarn (specially the painted technique) and wanted to send the results, I'd probably be your best friend for life!
Noro Kureyon yarn - any leftovers - parts of a ball, a full ball - there's a blanket on knitty.com I'd love to make, and it uses a lot of this - so if you have any leftovers, I'd love to be able to turn them into a blanket!
thick athletic socks with slouchy cuffs - on my wist, there's a pair for the style I like
squares to make a quilt - 6" x 6", please. I'll piece everything together (and post the results).
some sort of quilted wall hanging for my bedroom - can be abstract, a mini-quilt... ocean sort of colors...
decoupage box - something to keep small things in... buttons, hair clips, something like that. pretty open to what sort of design.
(long shot) - a corset top - the kind with the mini-hooks up the front? I have one, and i love it, would love another one!
a snood - you know, that open net type of hair thingy? my hair is nearly to the middle of my back, and some days, i just want to stick it all in a snood and be done! < thank you Raynbow for the bun sized one - anyone want to try a full head one?
handspun yarn - any color, any weight, as long as it's enough to make something out of it << got some fabulous yarn from other swaps! must have more!!
Unusual writing weapons... i mean, i don't want it to leak all over my purse, but if you had working fountain pens that you just don't use anymore, I'd be delighted to put them back to work!
Stitch dictionary/library - I have 1 or 2 of them, am looking for ones that have lots of cable designs/patterns in them (all those tube tops, don'tcha know! please pm me to see which ones I have)
DIY kits:
needle felting
soap bombs
socks - with all the knitting i do, i've never made socks, and would love to get pointers from a pro!
crafting supplies:
cross stitch needles - i'm always losing them
a needle case - usually looks like a tube, with a cap, to keep the cross stitch needles in it
cross stitch fabric - linen, or an oatmealy looking one, prefer 14 or 18 count (linen is usually 32 threads/inch)[/li
joann's sells rolls of fabric strips - i'd love a couple of those, have a project in mind!
knitting needle protectors - i have a couple, they look like socks, could use some more cause we keep losing them!
(long shot) - wooden crochet hooks. I used to have some, before i had kids. now i have kids, and no wooden crochet hooks. coincidence?
anything inspired by my wist
http://www.wists.com/Dulcinea
almost anything mickey mouse (but not minnie mouse or other characters, please)
anything to decorate my BR - colors are off white, sea-foam green, ocean shades through to a toasty light brown <got a great collage from igobylorib - got more walls!
squares to make an afghan - 6" x 6", I think. I decided I wanted a new afghan, so if you wanted to use up stash, I'll put them all together
Anything Philadelphia eagles football for my son, who loves them
... right... about me. I'm the old lady in the crowd, the one peering over the bifocals. I have 2 teenagers, and my day job is a computer programmer. I have no allergies, no issues with animal products, would prefer to avoid religion/religious articles and politics at all costs.... my favorite colors are the jewel tones, think ruby, sapphire, emerald... i don't do terribly well with pastels. We live in an apartment, where space is always at a premium... so small things that sit on tables and shelves and don't do anything except collect dust aren't a great thing here.
Thanks in advance to anyone who chooses me

I claim Bombgirl for something from her Wists.
This is my first claim. I am in Florida.
I wear a size XL, I love animals, sweets, and bright colors.
babydoll pajamas or a pattern to make them (like these:
http://www.princesscornflower.com/html/store_sale.html
)
oil burner
14 guage earrings... shiny neon plastic and glitter like the ones at claire's, or dangly ones with feathers.
A sewing kit (needles, pins, thread, pincushion in a nice box)
20 sided fuzzy dice (I’m a geek!)
A shirt that says cave canem with a picture of a dog. like this:
http://www.madeinmuseum.com/images_2000/mosaic/canem2.jpg
Some cool wall art that incorporates a taplight.
A shock treatment shirt (The movie, not the medical practice)
A tighty whitey bikini

It’s life, Jim, but not as we know it! Shirt, maybe with a picture of spock?
A lightswitch plate with a blue canary on it.
fabric painting kit (screenprinting ink and stencils, maybe a blank shirt or 2)
shiny vinyl or cute print fabrics to make pants and skirts
pattern: Simplicity 9871 size A (xs - xl).
melted bead bowl (rainbow colors?)
round plastic beads, all sizes except extremely tiny, all colors
A bunch of different kinds of tea. (not a whole lot of any one kind.)
large Klonoa Plushie or Klonoa’s hat
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klonoa
some sort of artwork based on the lyric “rockinghorse people eat marshmallow pies”
