Im sure you could use a chunky yarn, but you'd have to probably cast on less stitches, or go down a needle size or something. Bernat softee chunky is really good for ohmystars buttony sweater tho, its what I used and it worked very well.

I want to make this and I read all of the posts in this topic, but I couldn't find an answer.

About what size are you? That's pretty important if I want this sweater!

And about how long did it take you to knit?

Im a size.. small/medium waist, and a large on top.
36 on top, and approx, 26 on waist.  No matter what size anyone is, this sweater can be knit as it is customized. Just depending on increases and decreases. If that helps.

Oh, and it took me a little less than a week, plus keep in mind, this was my first sweater and I consider myself a little less than intermediate, really just a glorified knitting beginner  Wink

Would you have any idea where I could find the ohmystars buttony sweater pattern, that you mentioned?
I'll do a quick search & see if it's on craftster somewhere.

I started my first sweater last April, I'm knitting it on size 2 needles and I won't even tell you how much the yarn cost. It has yet to be finished.

Thanks for making me feel like an idiot with your great sweater. It might have to be my second.
