Here's my ATC from Thursday.

Constructive criticism and tips are very welcome. Smiley

I love all your bird drawings...every time I look at them I am inspired to start drawing birds. Now I just need to find time to draw.  I'm also impressed by your "daily drawing" comittment.

I especially like the hooded oriole one.

Sorry for the big 'ol delay.  I've been sick and doing pretty much nothing for the past week Tongue.  Anyways, here's my bird ATC for today.  This one's a yellowthroat in pencil.

Wadda you think?

the yellowthroat is fantastic! I also like what you did with the background on the oriel, with the wash and the text. The oriel itself isn't my favorite; your pencils are cleaner at color than marker, but that's a practice thing.

Also, I think it's cool that with the yellowthroat you broke out of the profile stance and added more variety in pose. yay dynamic composition!

Thanks for the kind words, itesser.

The oriole is actually done in watercolors.  But you're right, they are a bit imprecise.  I was a bit disappointed in the way that the color bled. Tongue

Thanks!  I hadn't even noticed that the previous ones are all in strict profile.  Roll Eyes  I guess maybe it was a subconscious decision to go for something easy since I was a bit uncomfortable with the little format.  I'll think about the way they're positioned a bit more, now.

Ooh, the colors looked a little dark/bright on my monitor to be watercolor, but I see now.  Gotta be careful what kind of paper you use.

I like the two new ones, too. Are you referencing or just drawing from memory?
