SOOO SOOORRRYYYY! I'm terrible! I received like 2 weeks ago and let life get in the way of showing off my goodies! So onto the very late pictures!
So here is my too-cute letter and box. My first ever square package. I'm talking swap or not! I've never received a square box before... they are always more rectangular... I didn't even know the PO made a box this size. Anywho... didja notice the castle Mllejessy pointed out on the map there? Its not Hogwarts (bc of all the secrecy spells I'm sure) but its a good find nonetheless!
This item puzzled me at first. I actually had to do some sleuthing to figure it out. (Thank Merlin for
Mugglenet!) Oppugno, for those of you who may not immediately recognize the spell, is what Hermione used on Ron in HBP to send little birdies attacking him. See the awesome birdie fabric
Clever girl that mllejessy! It is also a stuffed cube, so at first I was thinking "World's largest pincushion?" but then it dawned one me... (ok so actually figuring out which spell it was helped
) This is surely meant to be thrown at someone who is being a prat like Ron was! It now resides on my crafty tray in the living room so it is easily accessible.
And Just like my wists!
Now I have some Gryffindor pride to keep me warm! So the cold has subsided this year, but they will be damn useful next year, and you can bet your sweet bum I'll have them on in the theatre! Even Luna thinks they are cool! She gave me 5 when she saw them!
Mllejessy and I agreed, Slytherin has great colors, but we just couldn't go there...

The worst part is though, that it is the right size I said would fit and everything! Stupid sizing! So annoying! I just don't understand why they vary so much! I thought inches were standardized... maybe their rulers and tape measures are broken... So yeah, its my sister in the pic, who, for the record, usually wears M and sometimes L tanks, and usually finds herself swimming in XL. Luckily she is just as big an HP nerd as I am, and she will be wearing this proudly around town.
Then to round everything out, I now have some houselves to live on my fridge and help me keep it tidy! They came with their very own clothes too, in case I decide to give them their freedom.
