This was my first attempt at needlework. This was supposed to be all cross-stich (per the package I bought) but I altered the stitches the way I thought would look nice.

What do you think? I have a lot to work on and learn, but I think he is cute.

This is for my best friend's sister who is expecting her first child! Smiley

I think it looks a lot better without all the cross stitches. Solid is better. Very nice, it will be loved.

I'm a cross stitcher (and occasional needlepoint) only but have been thinking of trying embroidery or something new in hopes of combining the two...after seeing this I KNOW I have to!  I really really like the look with the different stitches. Looks great.
