Sometimes it's knit and sometimes it's crochet.

Gorgeous! You should really submit the pattern to Knitty or somewhere, it's very good - thank you for writing it up!

That is gorgeous! It's funny that you call it Mrs. Darcy -- I was at the bookstore this afternoon browsing new knitting books and in Stefanie Japel's new book "Fitted Knits" she has a cardigan pattern called "The Elizabeth Bennett Cardigan", and while it isn't like yours at all, they have a similar feel to them.

This is amazing.  It's going right to the top of my sweaters-to-knit list.

Also, on the name and its namesake.  Have you watched the 6-hour British version?  It's really wonderful.

heh, you know how I posted about mine being too small? Yeah, 'bout that...the more I looked at the pictures of the finished product, the more I realized that the neckline's supposed to look like that. So now I must do the edging (as the garter stitch edge flipping up makes me want to scream) and add buttons. I'll attempt to post pictures. Now, for edgings...insanity or sanity? hmm...

(the buttons I have look like little japanese ladies! squee! thank god for grandmas! Wink)
