Fav Children's Book Round 4??

Anyone interested in doing this one again? Where you send a copy of your favourite children's book to your partner and they make crafts related to it?
I couldn't organize or and maybe not even participate, most likely, due to my poor time management, but I would love to see great results.

this sounds like a great theme for a swap.  I missed it the first time around, but I'd definitely be down if it went again.  I could maybe even organize depending on when it is...

i just love the fact that it combines two of my favorite hobbies - reading and crafting!  plus i am so the kind of person who's always arguing it's okay to read kids books as an adult.  for the nostalgia, but also just because some of them are such good stories!

I love this idea!  It would have to have a long return on it though, if we had to read the books before making a swap.

maybe not that long if they are all children's books.  i guess it depends on the book people would choose.  maybe you could have a page length maximum to control the time spent on reading?  i'm so in love with this idea i'll do whatever it takes to make it work!

I would very much like to join this swap please, bethiej78, i also love reading and crafting. I would offer to help organise it but i dont think i can as this would be my first swap under my 'new name'.

I can organize it, that's no problem, but it looks like right now there is not that much interest.   Just 5 of us, and one is a maybe.  We can keep the thread around for awhile and see if we pick up any more interested people.

Yeah, if I remember correctly we had a lot of people when I did this swap. Also, I sent a picture book, so my partner didn't have to read a lot- hehe! She sent me a fairly long book, but it only took me a few days to read. What we all did was to first buy a copy of our favorite book to send our partner. We sent it (this was part 1 of the swap and we got DC#s for this).Then after that we had a certain amount of time to craft something for our partner based on their favorite book.

thanks for the fyi ghostgirl!  two rounds of dcns is smart.  i'm sure partners would appreciate lots of pictures in their books, so good idea there! 

i bet we're losing some people right now to the "i <3 the library swap" - similar themes and all.
