Hey. I'm really new. I just finished my first scarf, and I'm starting on the wrist warmers from the Stitch n Bitch book for my sister. Anyone interested in a knit along? It's a good one for new knitters... if I can do it, anyone probably can. I'm using Lions Brand Microspun yarn.. in really cute colors.

Well? Any takers?

I'm up for that!

I shall create the geek one.

I shall use brown and white acrylic wool because I am cheap... and it seems to work very well for wristbands.

Dang you're quick. I'm doing the star one, and Im not halfway through the star yet. Did you hold 2 strands together like the pattern called for? I think that might be holding me up haha.

haha I make wristbands all the time so it takes like 30 minutes to make mine.

I didn't hold two strands of yarn... I don't like mine to be too thick.

I will make the star one tomorrow probably. hehe.

Finally I finished this silly thing. This microspun cotton yarn is splitty as a bitch, and holding 2 strands together made it even harder! Gah!

But my sister will love it. So.. there we go.

Tell me about it. It's getting pretty bad, because that means that I can sit in front of the TV with my dpns and yarn, and when I get up after the show's over, there'll be another one!

Erm...  This wristband was my first ever knitting project!  I had a bit of trouble switching yarn colors, so the star I made turned out looking more like either a maple leaf or an elephant, depending on who you ask.  It looks terrible, but the rest of it's alright, and  I'm so darn proud of it, I'm going to wear it everywhere!  I showed it off all day today. Grin

Sorry about the flash.  It reflected off of everything a bit too well...  My skin isn't really that pale. Wink
