i went to the toronto zoo for the first time in october and went giraffe crazy (pretty much the neatest animal next to the capybara, yes?). i painted this sweater based on a picture i took of a baby giraffe with jacquard paints and acrylics....

the front, on me.

the side (it wraps around the back)

I eat it, it is really something. My family and I went to a drive-in zoo last summer and were given food to feed the animals in a paper cup, and of course I had to feed the giraffe, but had no idea how strong they are. Needless to say, never feed a giraffe out of a pepsi paper cup... I almost lost more than the cup. But it was fun, even if the ostriches and camels were coming right to our truck... they were hungry.

it is fun that the head comes across the zipper.  The giraffe looks as though it could walk right off the shirt.  If you wear this to the zoo, beware - the giraffes might try to adopt you.
