Thanks Smiley

One more...made one for my mom and her friend, so needed one for grandmother, as well. LOL! This one features green aventurine (I'm growing very fond of that stone). The colors of the seed beads (sort of a tannish vareigated) make it look a little more "organic".

p.s. Beadizzygrul...stil l working on getting that item to you. Will be able to address that tomorrow, hopefully Smiley

Okay, Bead & Button is usually a bit too fussy for me, but after seeing these stunners, I'm heading out to get a copy on Tuesday (my local bead shop is closed on Mondays...).

I think I must have several of these...gorgeous job!

And, thanks for posting so  many pics- it's great to see the possibilities!

Am getting little red X's for all but the initial post. I'll check back later...maybe it's a bandwidth problem. Now that I've seen the first sets, I want to see them all!

Onyx...I'd REALLY love to see your completed (or even in progress) St. Petersberg...I don't have 300 fp 3mm crystals, but I think I may have to tackle that one next after I make a little trip to Michaels! How was it learning the stitch? Is it working up quickly?

I'll try to post later this week when I have a day off.  The stitch took me a couple of tries to figure out, but after that it started to work up quickly.  I didn't have enough 3mm crystals because, especially for the lariat, it would take a lot - I used size 6 or 8 matte ABs instead.  It is made up with one side of the chevron shape, then when you have the right length, you do the otherside.  Think it would, like they show in the article, make a great band for showcasing a focal too - will try it as a choker afterwards.

those are really pretty. I love coming here to find seed bead creations. I started a thread in the suggestions board, asking for a seed bead specific child board, because I don't like having to wade through stranded bead work to get to the juicy stuff. If anyone else has the same thought, feel free to head over to that section and support the idea:)
Not to hijack your thread...sorry...ve ry pretty necklaces!

I've officially caved....

I took my lunch hour today to go to the store and buy that issue of Bead & Button.

I like your red version of the necklace better than the ones in the magazine!

Your necklaces are beautiful! I think they would look great in either length. I don't really bead, but I am looking to expand my craft repertoire. How long does it take to make that necklace?
