A girl that I work with is her daughter's Brownie Troop Leader.  For their second meeting, I volunteered to help them make some fun Mother's Day and Father's Day cards (albeit a bit early).  What the lady didn't know was that I enlisted the help of the girls and the other troop leader to make this pillow for her from the girls.

I don't sew normally, so there's a lot of wonky stitching, but I'm pleased with the overall finished product.

Oh, and the one on the bottom left, isn't backwards.  The little girl isn't quite Brownie aged, I think she's about 4.  She knows how to write her name, it just comes out as a mirror image when she does.

I think that's perfect, do you still do the brownie initiation with the mirror? She must be a born Brownie  Smiley
That's a lovely present. Was she surprised?

Thanks for the nice comments.  She was totally surprised when I gave this to her yesterday.  I think she's thinking of incorporating it in to the meetings somehow.

"Buy some Girl Scout Cookies or... RED RUM!"  Wink

Jokes aside, that's such a sweet idea and it turned out great.  I'm sure it meant a lot to the troop leader.
