need help with image

so I want to stencil a tote bag for a Enviromental swap that says "plastic bags blow" but was thinking it needs an image also but don't know what to use, anyone have ideas?
also has anyone tried stenciling on canvas totes, does it work ok? I think I'll just use fabric paint
