I saw Knitty's Spring '07 space invaders socks... I can't make socks yet. I took one of the charts and adapted it to a hat pattern (if you use the kittyville hat pattern from the SNB books, it works out perfectly).
This is my very first colorwork FO... and I plan on making tons more!

Here it is on... and I can assure you I am not this angry and scary in real life.  Wink

Very cute...I've not learned to do two color knitting yet.  You did  a great job on it.

Awesome! I've been working on a hat similar to this, but I just can't get the gauge right.

Your hat totally matches my double knitted scarf.

Your hat is great!  I think I like it even better than the socks.  They're a little over-the-top for me  Wink

I might have to take your idea and make a hat myself.  My geeky husband would appreciate  Cheesy

bdeitrick: If you need an already figured out chart, I can post the one I used.

That's amazing! I have no idea how I missed your post. I might take the sock pattern and make mitts instead so I have a little set... and you might have to send me that scarf since I don't know how to double knit yet! Cheesy hehe jk

Thank you all!

I figure I should try normal non-colorwork socks before I try anything with color. Especially since I know I'll end up making 3 or 4 huge pairs of space invaders socks for my boyfriend's huge feet. Smiley
