So I'm a bag lady and have everything in my life that I even need in my bag...  this includes of other things my knitting and an umbrella.  Anyways, the velcro on my umbrella decided it would be cute to latch on to my knitting.  Yikes.  I managed to get it off, and tweak it so it looks okay, but it still looks like it was lightly nibbled on.  I'm hoping it will get better after blocking.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?  Or does anyone have any tips on how to fix/prevent velcro ravaging?  Tongue

Indeed, it has.  My project-bag-that-doesn't-look-like-a-project-bag has a messenger type flap and fastens with velcro.  Some yarn attaches better than others.   Undecided

You could sew up an umbrella cover, or knit one out of that thin nylon cord from home depot.  I was looking at it today; they have some awesomely neon colors.

Oooh, yes I've had this happen as well. The other day my scarf kept getting stuck to the velcro part of my purse. Sad
No suggestions, only sympathy.

i too offer only sympathy.  my sis got me a cute woven bag from amsterdam that i was using for my wip's.  unfortunately, the little velcro tabbie much preferred to latch on to the wip than it's velcro mate!  i finally had to take the offending tabbie off...  darn velcro!
