I'm posting pics on behalf of Linnybelle.

I took the fairy tale "The Snow Queen". I turned it into a story about fairies who are dying off as humans are expanding. The Queen of the fairies calls on humans with fairy magic to come to them to help save them. Only one boy turns up but he is followed by his sweetheart. It wasn't as detailed as I wanted it to be as I was running out of time. I wrote it in the form of diary entries and newspaper clippings.

Here is what I sent;

I stitched a fairy from my "Cross Stitch Myths and Magic" book and stitched it to a pillow.

I knitted a scarf as the fairies were limited to northern regions. Anyone following them would need something to keep them warm. It is knitted with 100% cotton as Linnybelle would be alergic to it otherwise.

I saw this notebook in an art store and really liked it. I decided to decorate it for Linneybelle. I printed snowflakes onto OHP transparencies and the used acrylic paint to colour them and glitter to add sparkle. The cross stitch design I got from the same book as the fairy. I also attached some ribbon that I got from a recent craft fair.

Lastly a set of notecards. These are actually a set of six. I made two of each. Again I used OHP transparancies for the snowflakes. Linnybelle is moving house so I thought she could use them to let people know her new address. Or she can hang onto them to send out at Christmas.

I got my package today and I love it so much. The fairy tale was based on the frog prince (which is fantastic as I love frogs). it was written in a comic book style and had a very modern day moral: "nuclear waste causes mutations in frogs. Don't play ball near testing sites." Cheesy

Here is what I was sent.

A gorgeous bag which I am going to use straight away;

The other side of the bag had a lovely image of the frog prince.

Beautiful notecards. The heart on each card is slightly different.

The coolest fridge magnets ever.

Thanks crafty_karen1 for posting!  I don't own a digital camera and was attempting to track down friends with them this weekend and was then at our college's Relay for Life for 24 hours straight, so wasn't as successful as I'd hoped to be with the pictures.

I loved everything and everyone I showed the package to was incredibly jealous.

Yippeee! I was so excited to get this - i never get mail! But the contents was the MOSTEST exciting!:

And a detail of the smaller items

The story was Cinderella - with an 80s vibe! Cinderella lost a earring instead of a shoe, so  Briana sent me some gorgeous dangly earrings. Also, I told her i needed something to carry tea around in and she sent me the most darling little tea bag tin with tea bags in it!
Plus shes even more amazing as she sewed it all by hand and its sooo neat! Im so chuffed and her story was so original!
