My daughter is starting the final year of Primary School and is a little nervous. She prefers Messenger Bags to Backpacks and needs one that can carry her books and her luch box and drink bottle. I decided to suprise her with a messenger bag for the return to school. It is the most complicated bag I have made.

Just the front of the bag. I may add a design later. She likes camo.

It has a zippered top and two little pockets on the front.

It is fully lined and has two large internal pockets and one thin one between them. The pirate skull fabric is waterproof for the lunch box and water bottle. The black and red skulls is just plain fabric. I extended the pirate skulls as the lining of the flat to keep her books dry if she gets caught in the rain.

It was a lot of work and I made the pattern up as I went along. I think it was worth it. I hope she likes it.
