i know, it's not such an original idea this season...but...i just finished a great poncho, and i love it!  Smiley
i used a pattern that required knitting on circs from the neck down...it was so easy. just starting with a circle and increasing all the way down. (kinda lika a raglan sweater) i love the shape and it is so cozy. i used this yummy peruvian wool yarn called 'ecological wool'. i could have added a hood or fringe, but i kept it simple.
the pics may be a bit dark, but i figured out how to use a remote for my camera!

Question for you: how soft did you find the ecological wool? I'm considering it for a future project and am rounding up opinions.

The poncho is lovely, it looks so comfy Smiley

That looks so great. I bet it's warm. I made one just like it for my three year old and finished the hem with fun fur.

RenaissanceGrrl, i find the yarn very soft...i used the same wool to make a sweater for my husband (when i can convince him to pose for a picture i will post it also) and he loves it as well.
it is surprisingly warm...i was travelling in the ukraine (long story) and felt like i was wrapped in a cozy blanket all the time...
what can i say, i love ponchos!
oh, about the pattern...a friend borrowed it, and when i get it back i will post the info.
