Hi, these are the first and second items of clothing I have made! I hope you like them!

This first one is made from a duvet cover

It's a bit... different... lol... and I still have about two and a half duvets left in this fabric.

and this second dress is made from some ugly retro curtains, and I have about 8 of these left. I added the white belt part under the bust as it was very shapeless before Undecided

It's navy, but the picture is a bit dark as unfortunately I had to use my camera phone. The coloured shapes are very brightly coloured.

Here is a close-up of the fabric, but still doesn't really show the brightness, but you can see the polka dots:

I think in total they must have cost about 30 pence each! They are so easy to make I can tell I will end up with one in every pattern and colour!

Comments and criticisms will be very gratefully accepted!

If I told you, I think that you would be disappointed by its simplicity, ha ha.

I just made it up, I got a dress I like to roughly figure out the shape and just cut two pieces the same, a front and a back. Hemmed the bottom, stitched up the sides, and made a channel at the top to thread the elastic through. This basically gives you the shape. Then on the navy one I added the white ribbon round the middle, didn't bother with belt loops or anything, just tied it in a bow as it gave the back a better shape.

If anyone makes one similar, I would love to see it!
