Massive excitement!!

Hey, did you know that there is a yarn shop in Oak Bay?  Who knew??  I though Michael's and the Beehive was it.

That little one in Estevan village? I went in there once with my mum before I was a knitter myself, so I can't remember what the choice is like sadly.

Yes that's the one!

I haven't been there yet, as it is sort of out of my way, but I'm planning to venture over there this weekend, hopefully.  I'll let you know! (or you can let me know, if you beat me there!)  Cheesy

Sadly I don't live in Victoria anymore. I never went there after I became a knitter because we lived sorta close to there, but not quite. It was 'well, I could walk to Estevan village.... or drive to the Beehive, it takes the same amount of time'. I also suppose I could have driven to Estevan village, but then I'd feel lazy. Tongue

I'm going to be in Victoria for the fibre fest. Yay!!

Unfortunately though, I won't have a car so I won't be able to get to a lot of it.

Any suggestions for crafty things to check out in downtown Victoria?

To be honest, I don't know of much in the way of crafty stuff here-- pretty much the fibre fest (they have a website), the Beehive wool shop, michael's, button store by the Bay Centre, the Papery on Fort Street across from the Bay Centre....and that's about it. Sad, I know.

FIBRE FEST WAS AMAZING.

I sat down with some nice girls with my friend Kate and crocheted a hideous flower because I didn't bring colours with me that matched at all. Oh well..

I bought some of that Alpaca roving they had for sale and made myself a drop spindle. Now I'm addicted to something else!

Legerdemain:
I went to the Boutique de Laine on Estevan. It's tiny, but they've got some nice things there!
