Hello world of Craftster!

I used to be madcore active here, but I took a very long break. I'M BACK! BAM!

Crafting escapades over the past few months:

Here we have a pilot's thumb, wrecked as he did homeward come. I mean, a wall hanging pattern that I bought last halloween and made into a skirt.

THE BONES GLOW IN THE DARK. GJKTITHHTOHKHJHU897TMGOL!
Aaaaaand I made a skirt a little shorter than the above one from this fabric:

It's vintage, 1930's reproduction fabric. I got less than a meter of if and had to be super careful.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, my Belle & Sebastian tshirt. The tshirt is from a little boys clothing store (there are advantages to being tiny!) and the print is one of their old tour posters that I altered slightly and made an iron-on with.

The iron-on, however, sucked ass, and has cracked and flaked after 2 wears.

Iiiiii also made this skirt:

from some really grossly awesome fabric I got for $2/meter. THERE GOES MY CAMERA AGAIN. It's so modern it hurts. Ow.

Here we have (sadly) the only half-decent photo I can find of the black pinafore dress I made:

(And my super rad pink skinny jeans!)

SO YEAH. There's more that I am too lazy to photograph/upload. Next on the menu is many stencilled/screened tshirts. Give me ideas!

xx

I love the pinafore, it's so cute! Also, Belle and Sebastian rock, too bad it didn't work out so well!

Your pinafore is like a rainbow and a violet and sequin unicorn made a sandwich... and I ate that sandwich. Thats how great it is.

It's kinda canvassy/thick cotton. I winged it, which took a long time but it turned out quite well. It's like... two rectangles for the top bit, then two huge rectangles with pleats for the bottom bit. I am very vague.

Hi!

I just wanted to know more details about the black pinafore dress you made!!!

Summer is here and I think I could be perfect for the relaxing days... hehehe  Grin

Which kind of fabric did you use and the most important: measures and how did you sew it???

I've never made anything except purses and totes... Do you think I'll be able to do that???

Thanks!!!!

First off -- they all look great. That repro fabric is so interesting. I'd be all up in your personal space staring at it. I need to make mine! I know exactly what I'm gonna do and everything!

And Patutxy! You're in luck! Everyone here has been making pinafores, you can search this board for pinafores and you're bound to find many more examples of this very cute style. Judging from the sheer amount of them, they gotta be easy.

The fact that the bones glow in the dark is just about the most awesome thing I have heard in ages. I would wear that skirt to mad basement parties.
