Hi New Zealand (Auckland and those willing to travel, in particular...) people Smiley

I'm starting to plan a fair (I have to think of a better word for it, because I think of the vendors selling things of a higher quality than the word 'fair' implies!) that looks like it'll be June 30th. The plan is to hold it at a venue on Dominion Road in Auckland (the Mt Eden Events Centre, by KFC and opposite Potters Park, if you know the area),

It'll be a different market to that of Craftwerk - less of the indie hipster thing, more quality hand crafted goods with an edge (ie not your typical church lady crafts!). We want to do it to benefit a charity, probably the Lonely Miaow or Auckland Cat Rescue. The plan is that we'll have food and drinks available, the profits of which will go straight to the charity.

If you think you might be interested in a table (it'll probably cost around $20, though don't quote me on this quite yet - I'm meeting with somebody from the venue tonight so will hopefully have a more firm idea soon) or want more information, send an email to monkeycraft@orcon.net.nz that includes your contact details (phone number, etc) and examples of your work (attachments or a link are fine).

Anybody? We've got a good number of people involved so far and are a good way along in the planning, but more are always welcome.  Smiley

I'm bumping this in case there's anybody that might be interested. Smiley

We've got a number of people involved now and have set the date for June 30th. The venue is booked, and we've started advertising.

We have up to 45 tables (about half are filled), so the more the merrier... if you want to show off your stuff, get in touch!

The website with our flyer is here:

Looks good-o!

Will definitely be going, close to home too Grin.
Craftwerk is superfantastic, but the 'indie' exclusivity of it all is somewhat...meh. Still going though, hope I'll have enough money to spend by next week!

Don't cut your wrists, you've got beautiful fists!

Yay! The more the merrier. Smiley

Yeah Craftwerk is great, it just caters to a very specific audience. Have fun!
