The angels don't get something sent to them right?

Right.  The angels just help out, come to the rescue when somebody flaked out at a certain swap.

You do receive 'Friends of Craftster' status for angeling and of course the good crafty karma for helping out.

The reason an angel is called is because they were flaked on. They never received from their partner. The angel steps in and sends a package. They get feedback and are made a friend of craftster! Cheesy

Normally by the time you realise that you have a flaker in the swap, the flaker has already received the item that was made for them, so yes, the flaker still gets that thing.

What if the package to the flaker hasn't been sent yet? For example, in our foreign exchange swap, one person never sent their package to their partner because the partner never communicated at all in the whole time of the "crafting period". The person now has a package waiting to be sent & no partner.

-Is the partner still considered a flaker?
-Assuming there is someone else to step in & parnter with this person, are they considered "an angel"?

The partner is a flaker if they drop out without communicating, but I think the package could be sent to the angel instead in this case, and I think they are still considered an angel. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong...

The partner who dropped out of communication is considered a flaker. The organizer should find a "replacement partner" for the swapper, who can then send to the new partner. That person is not really considered an angel, because they receive something in return. Everyone still really appreciates them, though, and a note should be put in their profile that they stepped in to be partnered with someone after their original partner disappeared.
