And a note on enameled glass things...

First! you must make sure you have the right stuff. I was led astray at the craft store and my first attempts just pooled.

Second! You have to make sure that the primer is COMPLETELY dry. Otherwise the enamel just slides off.

and Third! You must keep your bottles straight up and not leaning, otherwise the enamel starts to pool.

I had serious issues. They were so tricky! One minute they'd be looking good and then two hours something would have gone completely astray.

I'm so happy that you liked everything knitchka because I am absolutely the happiest person alive.

I agree, this was a really fun swap. The only things that gave me any trouble were the rope coasters. Martha gives pretty specific instructions about gluing and pinning them to a cardboard template. They started out fine and the gluing part was fun. Then I let them dry overnight, and of course the next day, they were completely stuck to the cardboard. I had to pry them off with a metal spatula! You'd have to be a real master at neat, glob-free gluing (which I'm sure Martha is) to avoid that. I think a simple fix would be to cover your template with clear packing tape first - the glue wouldn't adhere to that as strongly.

The snowflakes are really addictive, I could have gone on making dozens of them if I'd had more time.

March, I'm so glad you like everything! I'm already using my new goodies. The glasses case wasn't out of the box for 2 minutes before my glasses were in it. The lavendar pillow is in my sweater drawer, making them smell lovely, though probably not for long, because it's too pretty to leave in there where I can't see it. And last night I put all my crochet hooks in my new organizer. It was very satisfying, in a nerdy way.

Everyone's stuff looks awesome!

I finally sent nasty_wench's good things today. (A hectic work schedule, crafting fiasco, and car trouble kept me late!) I hope she likes everything. I'm getting more and more nervous the more good things I see posted!

Great job everyone!

I was outside, about to walk my 4 year old to school, when Mr. Postman walked up with a great big box marked 'GOOD THINGS'! My son was so excited (not quite as excited as me). We went back inside to rip it open!

Everything was packaged so pretty and blue  Grin

The first thing I opened was the little Chinese food box. It smelled soooo good I had to know what was inside! 3 bars of yummy smelling soap!

The next thing I opened was the cutest little strawberry pincushion....

then 3 fancy-shmansy paperclip charms!

finally, this gorgeous tea-towel pillow. Here's a group shot;

Needless to say, we were late for school.  Cheesy

Nasty wench......you rock my socks. Martha would be proud.  Wink

Thanks so much. This swap was great fun!

OMG! I just went back to clean up my mess and found another good thing! I think my son snuck away with it or something.

So here is my last good thing (I feel extra lucky now. Like Christmas morning, when all the gifts are open, then hours later you notice one more behind the tree!)

A felt sewing book - super-sized!

Thanks again nasty wench....you're the sweetest wench I know  Grin )

Wow...  You all are awesome!  Now I'm totally embarassed of my package to catsprefermarlie.   Such great packaging...  Marlie, please remember my sick household with two whiney little ones when you open my plain jane package.  I promise to do better next swap.
