Update regarding the flower Easter basket and Easter eggs made for me by BrushfireFaeries

I had an Easter Egg hunt last night at the house I'm slowly restoring and redecorating (I'm only there part time).

BrushfireFaerie, had sent me a basket of Easter eggs, the hollow kind and she'd filled them with Starburst jelly beans. I had already emptied the payload.

Well, my house mice (yes I now have proof) had moved about 9 eggs from the basket (I had placed it in my craft studio) and placed them throughout my house!

Very funny to find them this way, specifically because they're Easter eggs and the mice didn't move anything else.

Some were hidden very well (behind furniture), two were at the bottom of my dresser. I still can't find several of them.

I think I must've laughed for an hour straight when I figured out how the eggs had moved. Very happy it wasn't a poltergeist.  Grin

nasty_wench that's too funny! I'd probably try to steal anything that smells like those Starburst jellybeans too... they're sooooo good!

I have a good feeling about today, Brushfirefaeries package has got to come!

Ok...now I'm really confused.

The tracking # says 'Item successfully delivered to Receiver ' on April 12th. Did you get your package brushfire faeries? This is seriously lame. My fingers are crossed that you got it.

I have not received. I double checked with my landlord and even scoured her screened in porch on the offchance that the mailperson hid it under a chair or something!

The zip code on canadapost.ca is correct (08226), so even my dummy move on giving you the incorrect zip can't have had effect, since the post office evidently corrected it.

I was talking to a friend and she said once a tracking number from a package from out of the country said it was delivered, but she actually received it a week afterwards. So maybe?

Anyway, I'm going to go investigate at the post office tomorrow. Don't lose heart!

Post office had no news. Sad I don't understand where it could be! Canadapost.ca says it was delivered to 08226... that's me! Do you think someone would have swiped it off the front steps? This isn't the kind of neighborhood where someone would do that! I'm so frustrated.

I just got off the phone with canada post. They are going to do an investigation. I dont know what that means, but I hope theyre not trying to just shut me up. They said it could take 2-45 days. I guess we're pretty screwed. The good news is I have 2 days off so I can start re-crafting for you. I'll hold off on posting my pics of what some undeserving person got. I'm so sorry. I'm just pissed that someone else has all the martha goodness that I made (some was made with some remnants of gorgeous vintage fabric.) grrrrrrr Angry

I guess I'll just wait to hear from them now.

That is SO weird. 45 days? That's just ridiculous. I've never heard of something taking that long, even if it comes from overseas!

You really don't have to craft for me again. I feel badly - it's not your fault that the package is in limbo.
