this is an amazing idea! i absolutely love it! i'm amazed everyday by this site!
really, this is really cool, what inspired you to make it purse?

I'm not even sure what inspired me in particular.  I was looking over her likes/dislikes and it just hit me that I HAD to go to the antique mall and find a camera to recon.  My fiance & I went scavaging and we ended up finding this one for 5 or 8 dollars.  It was love at first sight. Cheesy

thats one sweet deal, just so you know, you inspired me to rip apart an old polariod super swinger i bought at thrift store a long time ago. its been "on display" since i found out they don't make the film it takes anymore, or if they do, its impossible to find. its pretty much gutted now, just needs a clean! now i have two of my favorite things in one, purses and photography!!

I'm glad I could inspire someone! Smiley  Take pix when you're done!  I mean, you are a photographer, you sort of have to. Cheesy

What amount of weight do you think this can handle?  What did you use to connect the belt?

Didn't I see you prancing around the house wearing it before I shipped it?! Cheesy

I have no idea how much weight it could handle. Sad

There were already strap brackets from the previous strap (mentioned earlier), so I made two tiny slits in the belt and stretched it over the two brackets.  I coated the under side of the belt that was going to be touching the camera with E6000, as well.  Once the belt was attached, I covered each bracket with another layer of E6000.  It seemed pretty darned secure!
