Spartus Camera - bag/purse

I made this for the Photographer's Swap.   I used a good ole Spartus camera for the "body" of the purse.  My partner liked green, black & skullies, so I tried to tie some of those in.

The strap is a belt & the "lens" is a Craftster pin.




I didn't want to permanently line it because I like to see the inside with the shutter fun, so I made a removeable little pouch instead.




The great thing about using a belt is that it's adjustable for purse or clutch length.




It's funny to see a camera being carried in a camera...

Yep, just took out it's guts!   It had an old, tearing strap on it that wouldn't hold the weight of the camera, let alone purse goodies so it had to go.

I got it at a local antique mall and cleaned it up a bit.

I'm not even sure what inspired me in particular.  I was looking over her likes/dislikes and it just hit me that I HAD to go to the antique mall and find a camera to recon.  My fiance & I went scavaging and we ended up finding this one for 5 or 8 dollars.  It was love at first sight.

We found tons at the antique mall and then when I wasn't looking for them anymore, they seemed to be in all the thrift shops as well.
