This is my first quilt (other than a doll size quilt)
I don't really like to measure so this didn't turn out at all like I had originally planned. I kind of made it up as I went along to make it work around my mistakes. Anyhoo, on to the pics. Please excuse my crappy photography skills, they really don't do the quilt justice.

the center(also my first time embroidering)
We say this to each other every night before bed.

the back is some flannel I thrifted, super soft and turned out to be the perfect size for the finished quilt top. It was fated to be part of this quilt.

Overall,I am pleased with it. I might even have to learn to quilt the "right" way.  I hope you enjoy. Now if I have the patience to save it for her birthday as originally planned....

What a great first quilt and first embroidery! I really like the colours and the embroidered text is very nice detail.

I really love this little quilt. I adore the somewhat random placement of pieces, but that the color brings the whole thing together to make sense. its really nice, and I bet it will become a family treasure for all the future little bugs.Smiley

great work!
I'm with you on the measuring.  i hate carefully measuring things out and cutting them...ohly to realze that they don't match anyway (because i can't cut straight with the rotery cutter...lol).

i'm sure your bug will love it!

I didn't know that little rhyme was so widespread! My mom used to kiss me goodnight and sing that.  So cute!

I love it!  It's beautiful.  I love the embroidering too.  You've inspired me and my hatred of measuring Smiley
