I got a drafting book a while ago and finally got around to trying it.  It ended up being too short and my belly button is showing! oops.  also, the sleeves are wayyyy too poufy. Tongue

comments/suggestions much appreciated.

It is a super blouse. I love the sleeves, extra-poufy or not, they have a great line. Super job. It looks really professional.

Measure, measure, and remeasure.  Your shirt looks wonderful, and you will get the hang of pattern drafting.  At least it is recognizable and overall it looks very good!  You really did a very outstanding job!

I think its lovely, especially for a first time drafting!!! That's something I've been meaning to look into, do you mind me asking what book you used?

P.S. if you a little self conscious about it being short, you could alter it a bit and add a zipper and i think it would make a beautiful cropped jacket!

It looks awesome. Just put a really long shirt/dress under it and it will look like a light jacket. I also love the puffyness in the sleeves.

Wow! What a piece of work! It looks wonderful!
Personally, I think the length looks good- and cropped jackets are making a comeback. And I like Coreisten's suggestion of wearing it with a long shirt/dress ... it could give it a bit of that Dior "New Look" flair.

I think this is great!  I agree that it would look perfect over a long shirt or dress, or even over an extra long tank and jeans.

You  could also add a waist band and peplum, if you'd like to wear it by itself.  Smiley
